Selecting the correct boat hoist (lift) for your boat and lake frontage needs can be a daunting task the following links and information are provided to assist in the process.
What is the REAL Weight of Your Boat? — The weight of your boat is found by adding up the following:
a. Dry weight
b. Fuel Capacity (Gallons x 8lbs/gal)
c. Capacity (gear, coolers and people load)
For instance a: 2009 22 foot Malibu Wakesetter VLX
3500 lb dry weight + (46 gallons fuel x 8) + 1654 load capacity = 5522 lbs
Boat Lift needed: 6000 lb capacity hoist required.
